Shreveport Felon Arrested for Firing a Gun During an Argument
Shreveport Police officers responded to the Wellington Square Apartments on Jewella Avenue to reports of shots fired.
When SPD Officers got to the scene, they took Larvis Cosby into custody after an investigation revealed that she allegedly shot a gun during an argument with a man at the apartment complex.
Witnesses told officers that Cosby had a black handgun and fired one shot at the man before another person was able to disarm her.
Officers found the handgun and later confirmed that it had been reported stolen.
Further investigation by members of the SPD Violent Crimes Abatement Team found that Cosby is a convicted felon. Her felony conviction stems from a first-degree murder case in which she pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Cosby was arrested and charged with illegal use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
