Shreveport Police Investigating a Shooting That Left Two Dead

Just after 7pm on Thursday evening (11/16/23) Shreveport Police responded to a shots-fired call in the 8200 block of Jewella Avenue. When Officers arrived at the scene they discovered a vehicle stopped in the road. When Police approached the vehicle the found the bodies of a man and woman with gunshot wounds.

The man and woman were pronounced dead on the scene by first responders and the Caddo Coroner. Shreveport Police are currently interviewing possible witnesses and have found that 30-40 gunshots were heard in the area just before the bodies were discovered. Police are continuing their investigation in to the tragic murder and will update the public as to possible suspects.

These murders have been counted as the 70th and 71st homicide in Shreveport in 2023.
