Shreveport Police Seek Woman Accused of Shoplifting with Child at Walmart
A Shreveport woman is on the run after she allegedly swiped items from a local Walmart while her young child was with her.
Shreveport Police are looking for Tequilla Sellers, who is accused of trying to leave Walmart on Shreveport Barksdale Highway with more than $1,000 in merchandise using a fake receipt on October 5.
This is not her first rodeo. Sellers has already been banned from this same store for similar actions. She was arrested back in May for another shoplifting escapade. A warrant has been out for her arrest for failing to show up for that court hearing earlier this year.
The part of this story that is even more difficult to understand is that Sellers brought her 9-year-old daughter along during this alleged crime and she even had the child walk out with unpaid merchandise.
Sellers is now wanted for:
· Theft — Habitual Offender
· Criminal Trespass
· Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
Shreveport Police sent out this note to Sellers and other would-be criminals:
"Children deserve an example to follow—not a role in a theft. Taking your child along to steal is a parenting lesson nobody needs."
