Shreveport Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of a Child

A Shreveport man has been arrested following an investigation in to a sexual assault involving a young child.

Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives have arrested Carlos Daniel Hernandez Torres. During the investigation, detectives conducted an interview where the victim told counselors and Police details of the assault. Interviews with the child's guardian and siblings provided further information.

Earlier this week, detectives contacted Torres at the Shreveport City Jail, where he was already being held on a separate offense. He has now been charged with the following:

-Molestation of a Juvenile

-Felony Sexual Battery of a Victim Under 13

The victim in this case is under 7 years old. Shreveport Police urge the public to come forward with any information regarding this case or other similar cases to contact them with the immediately.
