
Shreveport Police Arrest Convicted Felon in Shooting Case
Shreveport Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Levy Street in reference to a reported shooting.
When SPD got to the scene, they made contact with the victim, who said he was standing in a wooded area near a homeless shelter when he heard a gunshot.
The victim told SPD he did not know where the shot came from. He was struck in the lower back near the buttocks. Fortunately, the injuries were non-life-threatening.
Detectives identified Johnny Wilson as a suspect in the shooting. Officers later made contact with Wilson and took him to the Detective Office for an official interview.
As a result, Wilson was arrested and charged with Illegal Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Investigators have determined that Wilson is a multi-convicted felon.
This investigation remains ongoing.
