Shreveport Police Warns Public of New School Zone Cameras

Chief Smith and the Shreveport Police Department would like to remind citizens that school starts Thursday (8/8/24). This means that school zone speed enforcement will be back in full effect. We want to let everyone know that there are three new speed camera locations:

- Atkins Elementary on West 75th Street

- AC Steer Elementary on Grover Street

- Forest Hill Elementary on Blom Boulevard

Please pay attention to your speed in all school zones to ensure a safe and enjoyable start to the school year.

· Elementary public school camera enforcement will be from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. and from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

· Middle and K-8 public school zone camera enforcement will be from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

· Public high school camera enforcement will be from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
