Shreveport Police Arrest Two Following Stolen Car Chase
At approximately 1:40 a.m., Sunday (12/8/24) Shreveport Police officers observed a dark-colored sedan traveling at a high rate of speed through the intersection of East Kings Highway and Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. The vehicle, heading northbound, turned left onto westbound East Kings Highway without stopping at the intersection.
Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens, but the vehicle did not stop. Instead, it accelerated significantly, as it sped far beyond the posted speed limit. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop, and the driver, Christian D. Serrano, along with the passenger, Anthony Arellano, were taken into custody.
Upon investigation, the vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.
· Christian D. Serrano was charged with:
o Illegal Possession of Stolen Things
o Possession of Burglary Tools
o Aggravated Flight from an Officer
· Anthony Arellano was found to have an outstanding warrant for a weapons charge from Harrison County, Texas. He was also charged with narcotics offenses.
