Shreveport’s Music Prize 2024 Semi-Finalists Announced

Music Prize has returned with another 14,000 dollars in prizes up-for-grabs this year, and the semi-finalists include several local bands and acts!

Prize-Foundation has been an institution in Shreveport for quite some time, and Music Prize has given some great opportunities for musical acts both local and non-local. This year's Music Prize semi-finalists consist of some fantastic local and non-local acts of differing genres and styles.

Eight of the thirty final music acts will be chosen by Industry professionals, while two will be voted-in by the general public. That means you can pick your favorite local act to be in the finals.

The musical acts can be voted on by visiting the Prize Fest Website and following the super-easy instructions provided.

Your job, as the voting public, is to tune into each of the 30 musicians and consider each of them for entry into Music Prize 2024. There are a variety of genres and approaches. Go find the acts that speak to you, take notes, and prepare to cast your vote.

Streaming is available from Friday, June 21 at noon Central Time thru Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

Once you’ve listened to the musicians, it’s time to build your lineup. Choose three acts you would like to see at Music Prize and help make this year’s competition amazing. Who would you want to see on stage, that’s a question only you can answer — so get to listening and cast your vote!

Once voting has concluded, Ten Finalists musicians will be announced. Eight will have been selected by the Music Prize Selection Committee, made up of music producers, agents, bookers, and other music industry professionals. Two will have been selected by the voting public.

Together they will form the Top 10 Musicians that will compete for $14,000 cash.
