UPDATE: The victim in this crime has died to the gunshot wounded suffered during the attack.

More information has also been provided regarding the robbery. Police say that the driver was delivering medicine to the Walgreens location when he was shot and robbed. The shooter stole the delivery van and fled the scene.

Police were able to use tracking equipment to track the van to Bossier City in an area near Riverwood Apartments. At this time, the shooter has not yet been identified or captured. Police are considering him armed and dangerous.

Bossier Schools have also offered an update on their situation in regards to the search for the suspect.


Shreveport Police are searching for a suspected shooter following an incident at the Walgreens at Kings Highway & Line Avenue across from Byrd High School.

According to reports, a suspected robber held up a delivery driver for a Pharmaceutical Company in the Walgreen's parking lot. During the course of the robbery, the delivery driver was shot. According to police, the victim was suffering from life-threatening wounds. It was later reported that the victim died due to their wounds. At this time, the driver has not been publicly identified.

The shooter was seen getting into a car and heading west on Kings Highway.

Not too long after the incident in Shreveport, a statement was issued about restricted schools in Bossier.

According to a statement from Bossier Schools, Airline, Apollo, Greenacres and Plantation Park are currently on restricted movement and law enforcement is on the scene due to a report of a suspect being seen in the area. At this time, it has not officially been confirmed that these two incidents are connected.
