UPDATE: The Caddo Sheriff's Office just issued an update on this tragic story:

The missing mother was found deceased one street over from where her home was destroyed in the Pecan Farms area of Keithville, LA. She was located under debris caused by a tornado. First responders will continue to search the area for unknown victims. No one else has been reported missing as a result of the storm.

Tragedy in the storms Tuesday night. The Keithville area was hit hard and a child is killed.

A young boy was found deceased in a wooded area of Pecan Farms where his home was destroyed. Search efforts for his mother will continue by many first responders and search teams. One more injury was reported after an adult male was transported to a local hospital. The extent of injuries was unknown.

Caddo Sheriff's deputies were called to the area of Lareta St. in Keithville’s Pecan Farms area after a tornado touched down.

First responders were frantically searching for a 30-year-old woman and her child after the storm roared through.

Family members reported the 2 were missing after the powerful tornado hit in the Four Forks community near Keithville at about 5pm.

As you can see, this was a monster storm.

This Drone video shows the tornado appeared to be on the ground for about 12 minutes, from 4:33 to 4:45 PM.

Caddo Sheriff's deputies got several calls from the Pecan Farms area after a tornado touchdown. More than 20 homes in that area were damaged. Many trees were knocked down and several roads were closed. Power lines were damaged knocking out power to part of the area.

The Caddo Sheriff's Office says one woman was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Caddo deputies, K-9 teams, fireman, and volunteers are searching through debris in that area. Caddo deputies have been going door to door to check on residents in the Four Forks area.

Anyone with information about people missing during the storm are urged to call the Caddo Sheriff's dispatch at (318)675-2170.

More than 50 Caddo Deputies and Fire Personnel along with State Troopers have been on the scene to try to help. Cleanup will continue today. The Shreveport Volunteer Network has stepped in to try to help in the area.
