Shreveport’s Addison Rae’s Upcoming Movie Animal Friends Delayed Until 2027
If you're not familiar with Addison Rae, lets catch you up. She graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport before finding global stardom.
She was a proud member of the class of 2019, and was just your everyday Shreveport high schooler...far removed from the global spotlight she currently enjoys. She was a member of the Shreveport Dance Academy, which definitely helped her for TikTok dances. It wasn't just dance school though, Rae was in competitive dance during her youth. Beyond dance, Rae was also an active participant with Calvary's cheerleading squad. But she didn't get as competitive with cheerleading as she did with dance. She was so competitive, she tried out for the LSU Tiger Girls dance team...but they rejected her.
That was just fine though, because TikTok had other plans. Her success on the platforms made her a megastar, leading her to make the decision to move to Los Angeles, and fully embrace her entertainment career. Which was a great move...
She recently secured a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist following the release of her debut studio album. Rae now holds two RIAA Platinum certified singles with "Diet Pepsi" and "Fame Is a Gun". She even performed at the Grammys...
Music is only one part of her expanding entertainment portfolio. Her acting resume continues to grow with starring roles in major studio projects...she is now working alongside established Hollywood veterans.
R-Rated Animation Movie Still On The Way?
Her next major motion picture is an ambitious hybrid film project titled "Animal Friends". The production mixes live action with animated elements, with enough adult humor to earn an R-rated rating...promising an edgy cinematic experience.
The ensemble cast features Ryan Reynolds and Jason Momoa performing the lead roles, expected to be animated voice roles. They are joined by a live-action cast featuring Aubrey Plaza, Dan Levy, and...Addison Rae. The specific character details remain closely guarded by the production team.
Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures are producing the road trip adventure. Director Peter Atencio is managing the collision between the human actors and the animated characters. The storyline follows a group of unexpected companions navigating a chaotic journey across the country.
Warner Bros Pushes Animal Friends Release To 2027
