Dripp Donuts Suddenly Closed Its Doors And Shreveport Residents Are Devistaded.

If you have ever been to Dripp Donuts on Texas Street in Downtown Shreveport you already know they make some of the most incredible donuts and they have added so much life to Downtown Shreveport. Unfortunately, Dripp closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Shreveport DDA took to its Facebook page to address Dripp's sudden closure. "By now, many of you are aware of the structural issues with the Dripp Donuts building at 421 Market St. The Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation is working diligently to determine the repairs / stabilization solutions required. They hope to have answers very soon."

There is heavy equipment lined up ready to work. The entire building is blocked off preventing people from entering the building. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Dripp crew.

The Question the Community Has is "How Can We Help?"

We have been waiting for Dripp to address the community and they finally did. Here is what they told our community:

"Hey y’all! We appreciate the love and support over here. Let's get real - we know things have been a little vague lately, and we wish we could share more, but what we can say for now is that we’re missing seeing your faces and are working hard to get back in the saddle!
Question: Will Dripp be doing any pop-ups or using the food truck? Answer: Sad to say, but it’s a no-go for now. No kitchen, no equipment, no crew…
We can’t use our kitchen or equipment, and we require space & specialized tools to make these donuts happen. The Dripp van is simply a mobile storefront, not a kitchen on wheels. More important, we’ve had to part ways with our amazing Dripp Donuts crew temporarily due to lack of timelines and communication.
We’re not looking for a band-aid solution or temp home. Our focus is on the making moves for the future of Dripp.
How can you keep supporting us during this time?
Well, just knowing y’all care means the world to us - you’re the reason we kept rollin’ in this crazy business from the Farmer’s Market to now…and that’s all we need!
You can still show some love by checking out Dripp Hot Chicken at Great Raft Brewing Tuesday through Saturday. It’s a family-friendly spot where you can support two local businesses together
*Remember Wednesdays downtown ain't happening due to obvious reasons
Thanks again for hanging tight with us during this time of uncertainty. Your enthusiasm and encouragement mean everything to us, so keep it coming!"

Let's keep supporting Dripp Hot Chicken at Great Raft Brewing as much as we can.
