Why Louisiana Is Boiling Over John Cena’s Actions at Elimination Chamber

Louisiana REALLY hates John Cena right now. Like a lot. If you don't know why people in Louisiana are so upset with Cena, let's set the stage.

John Cena is one of the biggest figures in the entertainment world. He's starred in several blockbuster movies, he released a relatively successful and popular rap album and he's been one of the biggest name in professional wrestling for decades. Oh, and he's granted more Make-A-Wish wishes than pretty much any human on planet earth...the guy was pretty much universally loved.

Well, over the weekend, Cena shocked the world at WWE's Elimination Chamber where he 'sold his soul' to The Rock and viciously assaulted World Champion Cody Rhodes. And, if you've been living under a rock, the world had a LOT to say about the matter. First Take on ESPN spent an entire segment on Cena's actions. Jon Stewart broke down Cena's actions on the Daily Show and related it to the Trump & Zelenskyy Feud. The MLB has posting about it.

In short - Cena's actions has set off a fire storm. And, according to a new study, several states took significant issue with Cena - including Louisiana.

Louisiana REALLY Hates John Cena Right Now

VegasInsider.com regularly uses social media data to put together how people in America are feeling about things in the sports universe - whether it be the America's feelings about the Chiefs or Yankees or whatever.

Well, they recently pulled the data on how America is feeling about John Cena following his shocking actions in selling out and becoming a bad guy. And, generally speaking, people are pretty pissed at Cena. In fact one of the states leading the charge when it comes to John Cena hate is Louisiana.

Based on social media posts made between March 1st & 3rd, there is an overwhelming sentiment towards John Cena in Louisiana. According to Vegas Insider, 87% of all posts made about Cena from Louisiana have been negative. If you hashtag John Cena on X, you can see some...let's just call it pretty intense hatred towards Cena - a lot of which I can't post online without ending up on some kind of list.

As much as Louisiana hates Cena right now, we're not even at the top of the list. Nationally speaking, Louisiana ranks 3rd on the list of Cena hate. South Dakota ranks #1 with a 94% negative sentiment towards Cena, Rhode Island is 2nd on the list 89% Cena hate.

Louisiana Isn't The Only State in the Region That Hates John Cena

Louisiana is #3 on the list of Cena hate right now. But our neighbors to the west in Texas hate John Cena ALMOST as much. On the list, they rank 8th on the list of negative sentiment towards John Cena.

Oddly enough, while Texas & Louisiana hate Cena's guts, the feeling isn't mutual in our other neighboring states of Arkansas & Mississippi. Arkansas is #49 on the list with only a 70% hatred for Cena (which is still pretty high honestly). Mississippi is 44th on the list, with a 74% negativity towards Cena.
