Shreveport Pizza Favorite is Moving After 40 Years

One Thing That Southern Hills Has That No One Else Does is Some of the Best Pizza in Shreveport.

Smitty's Pizza has been making some of the most delicious pizzas for over 40 years, but their time in the beloved neighborhood is coming to an end. Smitty's on Mansfield took to their Facebook page for the big announcement. Unfortunately for several fans of the Shreveport pizzeria, we don't know when or where they plan to relocate.

Their Facebook page started off by saying "Smitty’s Pizza will soon be relocating to another location to be determined, which will be closer to the middle of Shreveport. (We will announce once it has been confirmed). The current owner of our current location has chosen to sell the building."

Smitty's went on to explain that the owner of the embroidery business next door passed away, and that side of the building had been empty for some time. After that, the landlord wanted to sell. According to the Facebook post, there is going to be a new business moving into that location.

"Southern Hills has been very kind to us and we will miss it and everyone from that area that has supported us. We also hope that they will still come visit us at our new location."  Smitty's claims that nothing will change when it comes to Smitty's, the only thing changing is the location. The crew at Smitty's wanted to address rumors that they have heard circulating all over town and claim that the relocation could happen in the next month and a half.
