Shreveport’s Wonderstick Will Be on A&E’s ‘Best in Chow’
Oh, the sweet joy of a WonderStick. A delightful Shreveport way to enjoy ice cream. I say a "Shreveport way" because I had never heard of this J-shaped ice cream cone up until my first Mudbug Madness Festival.
The WonderStick Cone Was Created to Avoid an Ice Cream Mess.
When asked to describe the cone I told someone it's like a very thick churro with ice cream in the middle. If you ask the team at the WonderStick stand they will tell you it's the perfect mix of thick and crunchy which prevents the ice cream from getting the cone soggy. It's gluten-free if that matters to you.
The WonderStick Was Created by a Dad and Son Duo From Shreveport.
Tobin and Lee Grigsby decided that they had a delicious invention on their hands that was desperately needed in the Ark-La-Tex and decided to showcase it at outdoor events in their hometown of Shreveport.
The WonderStick Made Its Grand Debut at the Mudbug Madness Festival in 2015.
Now WonderStick has 5 different stands that travel nationwide spreading the goodness that is the WonderStick.
