A hidden gem of the Ark-La-Tex is Jefferson, Texas.

Jefferson is a pre-civil war town that has scenic streets, charming restaurants, quaint bed & breakfasts, historic hotels, RVs, and picturesque landscapes. There is something for everyone.

If you have never been before you need to go. You can play hooky from work and go during the week to check out all the awesome antique shops or feel like you're time traveling visiting Jefferson's Famous General Store.

Jefferson, Texas is also home to one of the best places in the Ark-La-Tex for barbecue and for many East Texans, this place is a destination of sorts. Who doesn't love to travel for food right?
