The Best Taco and Salsa You Can Find According to Shreveport

Taco Wars Took Over Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, April 27th.

Saturday from 12 pm to 8 pm an epic taco competition took over the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. 14 different eateries showed up to claim the title for the coveted Golden Taco and Golden Molcajete battle. Over $128,000 was generated for local businesses, it was a great day to be a taco lover.

How Does Taco Wars Find the Best Taco in Shreveport?

A panel of celebrity taco aficionados visited each of taquerias tents, tasted all of the submitted tacos. After all the tacos had been tasted the judges declared Taqueria San Miguel the winner of the Best Taco and the grand $1000 cash prize.

Taco lovers were all given voting tokens upon entry to the festival. These voting tokens were ultimately what was used for the Golden Molcajete prize. Ramirez Mexican Restaurant defended its title and was again crowned best salsa by the crowd and awarded a $500 cash prize. This is the third year in a row that they have won the prize.
