Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey Breaks Out Fireworks For New Years

The Shreveport Mudbugs are back on the ice this weekend for the final time in 2023. They will take on the Oklahoma Warriors on Friday and Saturday nights, and both of these games will be packed with activities...in addition to the hockey.

As far as the hockey goes, the Mudbugs might be the hottest team in all of hockey right now. They haven't lost a game since mid November, and are riding a 10 game winning streak, with one of those games being a shootout win. The team has rushed to 2nd place in the South Division, and are playing really good hockey right now.

But this weekend won't just be about the action ON the ice, there's going to be plenty happening around the games for the whole family. Including fireworks after the game on Saturday night!

The Mudbugs will have fireworks outside the Hirsch for fans to celebrate the New Year on Saturday, and will also have a Post-Game skate with players. On Friday night, the Mudbugs will have plenty of flavor options. Lil Animals will have seafood favorites at the game, and there will be a Post-Game party with the players at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bossier City.
