Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey Hosts Teddy Bear Toss On Saturday
The Shreveport Mudbugs hockey team is bringing back one of the greatest traditions in Shreveport hockey this week. Its time for the annual Teddy Bear Toss!
This Saturday night will be the 2023 Teddy Bear Toss night, where you can bring a new stuffed animal to George's Pond inside historic Hirsch Coliseum and when the Mudbugs score their first goal, you can "donate" that toy. By donate, we mean launch onto the ice! Hopefully, covering the ice from end to end in a sea of donated toys.
The Teddy Bear Toss is a great way to give back this holiday season, and a way to incorporate the whole family. It can be hard to get kids excited about the idea of donating to others, but through the Teddy Bear Toss, its a fun way to get their attention, and talk to them about the importance of giving back.
But the Teddy Bear Toss won't be the only part of this Christmas weekend with the Shreveport Mudbugs. They have more amazing activities planned for Saturday night, including their holiday jersey auction, mystery pucks, and a chance to win a Christmas jersey in their raffle. But that's just Saturday...Friday night will be full of activities too.
On Friday night, the Mudbugs will be visited by the Coca-Cola Polar Bear (great photo op for the kids) and will have Coca-Cola jersey raffles. So you can win specialty jerseys both Friday AND Saturday night!
