
Nvidia To Build Massive AI Supercomputer Factories In Texas, Here’s Where

NVIDIA announced this week that they would build two new factories in Texas that will be focused on manufacturing parts for AI supercomputers. According to PCMag.com, the CEO of NVIDIA announced that the investment into these factories is the first time NVIDIA will be building "AI supercomputers entirely in the US. The CEO, Jensen Huang also said the investment will help them meet the growth and demand of AI chips.
Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency,” he said.
Where Will NVIDIA Build The New Factories in Texas?
NVIDIA will build two factories according to PCMag. The first will be with iPhone supplier Foxconn in Houston. The second factory will be built in Dallas with help from Wistron. Wistron is an electronics manufacturer in Taiwan.
According to PCMag, mass production at the two Texas factories "is expected to ramp up in the next 12-15 months. The two factories will span more than a million square feet and the goal is to build both AI supercomputers and testing chips from Taiwan's TSMC.
The investment in Texas will help NVIDIA avoid President Trump's trade war according to the article from PCMAg.
