LSU fans are ready for the first home game of the season this weekend, but the university has announced a policy for this weekend when it comes to cooking on campus.

Louisiana remains under a Burn Ban due to drought-like conditions, and with that, the Governor has announced that there should be NO open flames across the state, and that includes cooking.

So, LSU released a statement asking fans to avoid "flame tailgating" on Saturday as the Tigers host Grambling State.

The university has asked fans to follow the Fire Marshal's orders during these unprecedented times but still encourages fans to go out and enjoy the season opener this Saturday.

Like UL last week, LSU is encouraging fans to prep meals before arriving on campus or to even have their tailgates catered. They offered a list of nearby restaurants.

The LSU Tigers hope to rebound from their loss last weekend as they make their Tiger Stadium debut for 2023.
