We may have found the best Mardi Gras float in Louisiana for 2024.

So many people who ride in Mardi Gras parades get creative when it comes to designing their float, and one group may have just beaten everyone else's float.

Rick Orgeron Jr. posted this photo of their float and as you can see here, it looks like a home being demolished. The siding on the "house" is falling off and some windows on the structure seem to be damaged too.

You can see that those who constructed this float even thew in the infamous blue tarp that so many had to use in recent years after hurricanes hit South Louisiana.

With all of that, this float was LOADED with throws, and those who were lucky enough to see this in Thibodaux, Louisiana were in for a treat.

According to the post on social media, there may have been some concerns that this float wouldn't make it, but it appears that it did and it most certainly got the attention of those along the parade route.

After seeing this, I think all of us who participate in Mardi Gras have to step our game up when it comes to designing a float in 2025. These folks have set the bar, and it's high for next year's Mardi Gras parades.
