Most people love bacon, but no one likes the mess that comes with cooking it in the kitchen.

Personally, I don't know if there's a better smell in the kitchen on the weekends than when we are preparing bacon in the morning, but the greasy mess is another story.

For so many years we've put bacon in a small/shallow pot on the stove and let it cook, while grease splattered everywhere. Then, we tried cooking it in the oven and the smoke was a bit too much.

Well, there's now a way to eliminate the smoke and grease from your kitchen when cooking bacon and it is rather simple.

More and more people are now cooking their bacon in a deep pot, with sides. As you may have already guessed, the depth and sides of the pot prevent the splattering of grease, which makes preparing this favorite more tolerable.

The key here is having a pot deep enough and having one with sides so that it can act as a shield while cooking bacon.

In the video below you'll see that having a lid on the pot also helps as the process starts. Cutting the bacon into smaller strips is also vital.

In order to prevent your bacon from sticking, you'll want to trim each slice prior to placing it in the deep pot on your stove. Sure, some may already know about this or may have tried and perfected it, but for others, this is great news for the next time you cook back in your home.

Here's a quick video of the process.
