4 Dead, Child Critical After Series Of Stabbings In Houma
Four people are dead and a juvenile remains in critical condition following a series of stabbing incidents under investigation in Houma, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
UPDATE: Person Of Interest Taken Into Custody
(10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13): The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office confirms Kaegan Jude Solet, 47, of Houma, has been taken into custody in connection with the ongoing investigation into the deadly incidents in the Ashland Drive area.
Sheriff Tim Soignet said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have not yet released additional details about Solet's arrest or announced what charges, if any, he may face.
The sheriff's office said investigators are continuing to develop and verify information surrounding the case, with additional details expected to be released as they become available.

Sheriff Tim Soignet said detectives have also identified 47-year-old Kaegan Jude Solet of Houma as a person of interest in connection with the investigation.
Authorities stressed that Solet has been identified as a person of interest and has not been announced as arrested or charged in connection with the deaths.
Investigation Began After Juvenile Found With Stab Wounds
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies initially responded to the 200 block of Ashland Drive in Houma, where they found a juvenile suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The child was transported by Acadian Ambulance Service Air Med to a hospital outside the area and remains in critical condition, according to the sheriff's office.
As deputies continued investigating the incident, authorities said they discovered multiple deceased victims inside nearby homes.
At least four people have been pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victims or released details about their ages, relationships to one another, or exactly how the incidents unfolded.
Houma Man Identified As Person Of Interest
In an investigative update released Saturday, Sept. 12, Sheriff Soignet confirmed detectives had identified Kaegan Jude Solet, 47, of Houma, as a person of interest.
The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about Solet's whereabouts to contact detectives.
Importantly, authorities noted that identifying Solet as a person of interest does not constitute an arrest or criminal charge.
The investigation remains active as detectives gather evidence and work to determine the circumstances surrounding the multiple deaths.

Tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
