Five Amazing Texas Comedians You Need to Know
I am going to omit myself from this list just so there isn't a conflict of interest here. However, all credibility should be lost from anyone else making a similar list that doesn't have my name on it. With that being said here are five comedians I think you should follow that are currently residing in Texas.
1. Myles Johnson
Myles has an absurd and irreverent sense of humor. His jokes are really silly, but that doesn't take away from the amount of intelligence and work that goes into writing the act that he has developed over just a few short years.

2. John Hoeft
John is a younger comedian that has a great observational talent in comedy, but he isn't afraid to open up about his personal life either.

3. Amy Shanker
Amy is a new addition to the Texas comedy scene. She started her standup career in New York when she was working as a teacher. Now she brings her sharp wit and sharper tongue to the Lone Star comedy clubs.

4. Tre Stewart
Tre is originally from Detroit. I met Tre when we were both living in Los Angeles, and he was a standout performer there amongst some of the best talent in the industry. Today, Tre is proving himself to be a generational talent whose comedy reaches across many different types of audiences.

5. Sarah Sloan
Sarah has only been doing comedy for a little over two years now, but she is one of the fastest rising talents in Central Texas. Sarah recently performed on my show, Punchlines and Punishments, and she did the Hot Pepper Spot. She had to eat three peppers (jalapeno, serrano, and habanero) while performing her set, and she absolutely crushed. She also does an amazing horse impression.
