The state of Texas is always gaining and losing people every day.

After all, sometimes the Lone Star State is someone's last place they'll move to, or it could be a stop in the road that is life. The reasons for leaving or living here are many. But one thing is for sure, no matter what, a piece of the Lone Star State will be with that individual for the rest of their life.

But moving to Texas is certainly an exciting experience. Finding that perfect home, moving all your stuff to the new area, and of course, preparing for those Texas summers. There's a lot to factor in, to say the least.

But data shows that last year in Texas, new residents didn't just arrive from inside the United States. In fact, they came from outside the nation!

While it may seem rather difficult to move internationally, people do indeed do it. It requires more planning of course, so when they're finally settled in, it's probably a fantastic feeling. But the question remains, how many moved to Texas?

Per Click2Houston, of the 30.5 people that live in the Lone Star State, 612,000 moved here in 2023 from an international country. In fact, the actual percentage was 43%. So almost of the new residents in the Lone Star State came from outside the nation.

What does this mean? Well, looks like the allure of Texas is known worldwide, not just nationally.
