Geek'd Con, Shreveport's comic con, unfortunately had to miss the 2020 show due to the COVID pandemic restrictions around the state. But the show is back on for 2021! The show's return will be August 13th-15th at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Before the pandemic, Geek'd Con had become one of the biggest pop culture events in the region. With guests like Michael Rooker, LeVar Burton, Elvira, Peter Mayhew, Chris Sarandon, and more.

For 2021 Geek'd Con welcomes Jonathan Bennett, Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls, to Shreveport!

Bennett starred in the epic coming-of-age movie Mean Girls in 2004, playing the main love interest Aaron Samuels. A role that continues to live on today through various online memes and videos. That includes the traditional celebration of October 3rd, which some refer to as "Mean Girls Day".

Beyond Mean Girls, Bennett has found tremendous success in the TV food world. He is the host of Food Networks' Halloween Wars, and has hosted Cake Wars, Cupcake Wars, and Christmas Cookie Challenge.

He's also appeared in multiple reality competition shows, including Season 19 of Dancing With The Stars and Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother.

His film and TV roles include Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, Casey Gant in Veronica Mars, and Quentin in Supergirl. He's also appeared in Smallville, Boston Public, Law & Order SVU, and Awkward.

Bennett starred opposite Hillary Duff in the horror/thriller The Haunting of Sharon Tate in 2019.

In 2020 Bennett appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race, and also starred in a Hallmark holiday movie, The Christmas House.
