Kid Rock 40th Birthday Bash In Detroit [VIDEO]

Kid Rock turned the big 4 - 0 recently. Many lesser individuals would have stayed locked up in their room all day, but he celebrated in true Kid Rock style with a huge bash / concert in his home town of Detroit.

Kid Rock’s 40th birthday was January 17, but he threw a smashing rock-hard party Saturday at Ford Field in Detroit — and even invited some special guests.

The Romeo native celebrated on stage with superstar acts including Peter Wolf of J. Geils Band, Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride, Rev. Run of Run DMC, Anita Baker, and Uncle Kracker.

Many fans in the sell-out crowd of 45,000 started partying early Saturday afternoon before heading to the big party at Ford(y) Field in Downtown Detroit. Tickets for the concert actually read, "Guess I'm Frickin' 40!" Only Kid Rock knows why, and he didn't even sing "Only God Knows Why."
