COVID has caused another live event to cancel. This time, it's Kid Rock. This upcoming weekend, Kid was scheduled to play at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas. However, due to a COVID outbreak in the band, Rock has decided it be best to cancel the shows.

In an expletive filled statement, Rock said that over half of his band has tested positive for COVID despite being vaccinated. Rock also states "I was gonna come and rock the house anyway, play acoustic, DJ or even just Juggle…. at least try to entertain u good folks," but ended up deciding to cancel the set of weekend shows.

Kid, not usually one to cancel a show for any reason, says he's "pissed" and "would never cancel" if wasn't absolutely necessary. At this time, it is unclear if the shows will be rescheduled for a later date. You can read Kid Rock's full statement on the cancelation here.

Even though Kid Rock has canceled, Billy Bob's still has a full slate of exciting shows and events including Kevin Costner and Modern West, 38 Special and Xtreme Knockout MMA. You can get the full rundown on what's coming to Billy Bob's here.

Legendary Musicians Who Rocked The Hirsch In Shreveport

Here's a sample of the legendary musical acts who have played Shreveport's Memorial Coliseum over the last 60 years. The Hirsch was basically the homefield for bands like Van Halen and ZZ Top, who regularly put the Hirsch near the top of their tours. For that reason, we're actually not going to feature them on this list, because they were basically "house bands" for Shreveport...and that's NOT a bad thing.
