In less than two months, the Brian Kelly era opens at LSU with the 2022 season and as a crazy LSU Tiger fan I am excited and very optimistic about the future of the team.

Here’s my take on what I think will happen this year.

Week 1 for LSU VS Florida State

The Tigers open the season on September 4 at the Superdome against Florida State. The last time these two teams met was in 1991 and the Seminoles won that one. But this year, this is a win for LSU.

Week 2 for LSU VS Southern

September 10 is the official home opener at Tiger Stadium as the crosstown Southern Jaguars come for a visit. This is the first time these two teams have ever played and will be all the buzz in Baton Rouge. LSU should win this game by 21 points.

Week 3 for LSU VS Mississippi State

LSU gets win number 3 for the season with this September 17th matchup against Mississippi State at Tiger Stadium. These two played a close game last year with the Tigers winning by a field goal. I think this will be a close one again this year.

Week 4 for LSU VS New Mexico

Another easy win for the Tigers on September 24th against New Mexico. The Lobos went 3-9 last year. This is the first time these school schools will meet up on the football field and the Tigers move to 4-0 and a great start for the season.

Week 5 for LSU VS Auburn

Bring on the meat of the season as the Tigers travel to face Auburn. This will be a pivotal game this year. Auburn beat LSU last year and I am predicting the LSU Tigers get a little payback and move to 5-0 with a close win against the Auburn Tigers.

Week 6 for LSU VS Tennessee

October 8th the Tigers come back home to battle Tennessee. The Tigers easily beat the Vols last year and I think we get another win this year and will move to the mid-season mark undefeated at 6-0.

Week 7 for LSU VS Florida

Things start to change for the Tigers on October 15th on the road at Florida. LSU won this matchup last year, but the Gators have reloaded and will be too much for the Tigers. We lose our first game of the season and fall to 6-1.

Week 8 for LSU VS Ole Miss

October 22nd Ole Miss comes to town and gives the Tigers quite a battle.  The Rebels beat the Tigers last year and I think Ole Miss gets another win this year. But this is the one game that is really tough to call. This will drop the Tigers to 6-2 for the season.

Week 9 for LSU Idle

This is our bye week as we gear up for the Alabama game.

Week 10 for LSU VS Alabama

November 5th, Kelly and the Tigers welcome Nick Saban and Alabama back to Baton Rouge. Despite all the pundits and experts saying this is an easy win for Bama, I think the Tigers pick up a huge win. This will be the game Tiger fans fall in love with Brian Kelly. The Tigers are now back on the winning side and move to 7-2 for the season.

Week 11 for LSU VS Arkansas

November 12th on the road at Arkansas. The Tigers could stumble in this game if the celebrating continues too long. But I believe the Tigers want revenge over last year’s loss to the Razorbacks in Tiger Stadium. LSU wins and moves to 8-2.

Week 12 for LSU VS UAB

The Tigers come back home to take on UAB on November 19th.  The last time these schools met was in 2013 and the Tigers won, 56-17. It’s a big win for the Tigers again this year. LSU moves to 9-2.

Week 13 LSU VS Texas A&M

I don’t like writing this because the team will be on such a roll. But I think on November 26th the Tigers will lose a close game on the road at Texas A&M. The Aggies went 8-4 last year, but have reloaded with top recruits and should be a powerful team in 2022. The Tigers beat the Aggies by a field goal last year and I think we will stumble in this game to wrap up the regular season and fall to 9-3.
