Details On Kevin Smith’s Shreveport Meet & Greet Packages

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is heading back to the Shreveport Convention Center. The dates this year are August 18th through 20th, 2023.

Since its start, Geek'd Con has been one of the premiere comic con style events in the state of Louisiana. The event has generated millions of dollars in economic impact to the Shreveport and Bossier City area. While also bringing in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, Star Wars icons, Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame members, and horror movie legends.

This year, the major name leading the Geek'd Con lineup is legendary filmmaker Kevin Smith. He will be live at Geek'd Con on Saturday, August 19th only. So if you want to meet him, you have to plan to be at the Shreveport Convention Center that day.

But it won't just be Kevin Smitha. In fact, this is going to be a full blown View Askewneverse reunion event.

Not only will Kevin Smith be in Shreveport, but so will Jason Mewes, Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Marilyn Ghigliotti, Harley Quinn Smith, and Ming Chen. All from the View Askewniverse. Not to mention Brandon Routh (Superman from Superman Returns and the CW's DC Comics shows) who is in the extended View Askewniverse from Zack and Miri.

One of the first things posted about Kevin Smith's Geek'd Con appearance is that it will be limited. He will only be appearing on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. During that appearance, the number of in-person autographs he will be doing is VERY limited. That means if you have a movie poster, DVD, action figure, or anything besides an 8x10 photo you'd like signed, you have to have an in-person autograph ticket.

There will be pre-signed photos that will be autographed during a private event in Shreveport that you can purchase, but they will be limited to 8x10 images.

Here are the options to meet Kevin Smith at Geek'd Con this year:

In-Person Autographs - $100

This is the basic in-person autograph, where you get to bring your own item (or pick and 8x10) to get signed with Kevin. You get to meet him as he signs your item at Geek'd Con.

A Signature and a Pro Photo-Op - $175

This option gives you a chance to get a Kevin Smith autographed 8x10, and meet Kevin for a Professional Photo-Op at Geek'd Con. Even though the autograph doesn't happen in-person, you still get to meet Kevin during the photo-op.

An In-Person Autograph and a Pro Photo-Op - $190

Here you can bring an item to have Kevin sign for you (or there are free 8x10s if you don't have an item to bring) and meet Kevin for a Professional Photo-Op at Geek'd Con. This option gives you a chance to meet up with Kevin twice at Geek'd Con.

Join the Krewe Of Clerks - $250

Not only do you get an autographed 8x10 (signed during a private event at Geek'd Con), you get to meet Kevin for a photo-op in Shreveport, PLUS you get to join the Krewe of Clerks, and take home Krewe of Clerks swag.

Get All of the Things - $275

How about meeting Kevin twice in one day? You get your item signed in-person (you can bring something to get signed, or there are free 8x10 pictures you can get signed), then you get to meet Kevin again for a photo-op. Plus you get to join the Krewe of Clerks with your Krewe package.

There could be more options added to this list. Keep an eye out for changes to the options, but keep in mind, they must be purchased in advance. Not to mention some of these options will sell out, as there are limited numbers due to scheduling.
