Mike Johnson Now Part of Trump Legal Team [VIDEO]

Congressman Mike Johnson is now part of the Donald Trump legal team. That news came last evening as the President and his lawyers prepare for his impeachment trial in the United States Senate.

Johnson, a noted Constitutional lawyer, was tapped by the White House along with six others, including Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe from Texarkana.

Johnson tells KEEL listeners that he had anticipated being included despite some Senate Democrats wanting to block House members from the chamber. The Congressman adds that he has been involved with the Trump team for some time, as the Democrat only party line vote to impeach the forty fifth President was passed by the House of Representatives.

Although not official, it is thought that Johnson will be the legal contact for the Trump defense team.
