This weekend, it's all about the good ole US of A and of course, Mudbugs hockey.

I've been with be Mudbugs for over a decade now, and I must say, their American Made weekends are a highlight every season. Lets face it, there's nothing not to love about this weekend's theme. They are combining the two things all Shreveporters love. That would, of course, be America and Mudbugs hockey.

One of my favorite things about Mudbugs hockey is their special Hometown Hero segment of every game. During that segment, the 'Bugs pay tribute to a fan who greatly deserves it, and the fans and players (on both teams) cheer the hero and his/her sacrifices and achievements. It's truly a special moment and easily the second-loudest moment of any moment during the game. The loudest being a Mudbugs goal, of course. During American Made weekend, you can count on the Hometown Hero being extra special, as it is American Made weekend.

The 'Bugs also plan to salute America in many ways off the ice during both games.

On the ice, we'll be treated to one of the Mudbugs' greatest rivalries in the history of the organization. Friday and Saturday night, they'll be taking on the Lone Star Brahmas, coached by Mudbugs legend Dan Wildfong.

Simply put, it's always electric when these two teams take the ice.

It's going to be a blast at George's Pond this weekend! Both games will drop the puck at 7:11 PM. For more information, click HERE.
