One Louisiana city draws international attention at Christmas and it's no surprise this city makes another list of the best towns in the U.S. to visit if you’re looking for a little Christmas cheer.

The top five cities on the Travel and Leisure list of the top 25 best Christmas towns in the country are Aspen, Colorado, Ogunquit, Maine, Vail, Colorado, Nantucket, Massachusetts and Orlando, Florida.

But you don't have to travel to these destinations to get a great dose of the Christmas spirit. Natchitoches, Louisiana is the only city on this nationwide list. The charming north Louisiana town checks in at #24 on the list.

"Four hours north of New Orleans, you can find one of the brightest towns in Louisiana at Christmastime. Natchitoches is one of the oldest settlements in Louisiana. During the holiday season, the whole city is lit up with impressive light displays and family-friendly festivities are in the books every weekend from Thanksgiving until December 25. However, the biggest event is the boat parade on December 10, when the Cane River light ups with Christmas spirit."
