Oregon Yoga Studio Offering ‘Doom Metal’ Yoga: Yoga While Listening To Metal Music

When you think of yoga, you think of a quiet and relaxing activity.  Soothing even.  You don't think of loud music.  Well, most people don't.  But for one yoga instructor in Portland, Oregon, yoga and metal music is a perfect combination.  

She began offering doom metal yoga classes at Mystical Hug Yoga recently and the reaction has been pretty positive!  So instead of listening to birds chirping while in the downward dog pose, these yoga enthusiasts stretch to the sounds of various genres of metal.  It doesn't seem like it would be relaxing or soothing at all, but hey, you can't argue with the results!
