KTBS is rolling out the red, white and blue carpet along the Red River Wednesday, July, 4th, 2018 celebrating our country's independence with their annual 4th of July festivities and they've planned a full day of activities for the entire family! There's a little something for everyone, but here are our must see, don't miss picks for the day!

    Fireworks Extravaganza

Obviously, you don't want to miss the fireworks! They're scheduled to go off at 9:20pm and will be shot from two different locations by local company Pyromania. They say they'll be shooting shells as big as 10", so you know the display is going to be on point as always!

Barksdale Air Force Base B-52 Flyover

Seeing how we're the home of Barksdale Air Force Base, you can't celebrate the 4th of July without a flyover and there's nothing more majestic than a B-52, or as my dad used to refer to them as, 'big ugly fellas!' Hey, he can say that, he was a USAF B-52 Navigator for years! The flyover is scheduled for 6pm along the riverfront while Windstorm sings the National Anthem.
