    Ark-La-Tex Craft Beer and Barbecue Festival

    Head to the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum this Friday and Saturday for the 2nd annual Ark-La-Tex Craft Beer and Barbecue Festival benefitting Veteran Outdoors. The event will feature 30 craft beers and (of course) barbecue! The steak competition is Friday night with the sanctioned International Barbecue Competition Association for both amateurs and pros taking place Saturday.     The 3 Miles for Free Smiles 5K hosted by Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care is this Saturday, March 9th at 8 am. Race day registration starts at 7 am on site at Southern Hills Park on Bert Kouns weather permitting. Keep checking the Facebook event page just in case the location does change due to weather conditions. Proceeds from the event go to our local LSU Foundation and Shriner's Hospital for maxillofacial surgeries specifically to repair cleft lips and palates.

    The Other Mozart

    The Other Mozart is the story of Mozart's often forgotten sister, Nannerl, a musical prodigy in her own right, and the production is coming to The Strand Theatre this Saturday at 8 pm. Student ticket prices for this 'dazzling' one-woman show are $25 and regular ticket prices start at $25.50.

    Head to Shreveport's historic Municipal Auditorium Friday night for the 13th Annual Shreveport Blues Festival starring Shirley Brown, Tucka, Ronnie Bell, TK Soul, Theodis Ealey, and Crystal Thomas.
