Overnight Stabbing Leaves Shreveport Woman Wounded, Man Behind Bars

An overnight stabbing in west Shreveport leaves a woman hospitalized with stab wounds and a man in jail.

Shreveport police say officers were called to the 8100 block of Arcadian Shores Drive just after 12:30 a.m. They found 21-year-old Jakare Fecunda suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. She was rushed to University Health with what were considered to be life-threatening wounds.

Authorities gathered information suggesting Fecunda was stabbed by her live-in boyfriend following an argument between the two while at their Masters Drive home. They took 22-year-old Adam Martin into custody and ultimately charged him with attempted second-degree murder.
