Paul Mainieri Gets Win Number 1,300 This Weekend

LSU Head Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri continues to rack up milestones.

Friday night, behind a strong pitching performance form Alex Lange, the Tigers took the series from second-ranked Vanderbilt at Alex Box Stadium. The final score was 3-2. With their win on Thursday, it sealed the series for LSU, before they dropped Saturday's contest 9-7 in front of the home crowd.

But the big news was that 1,300th victory for Coach Mainieri. It moves him within striking distance of cracking the Top 20 list of all time wins list in NCAA history.
