Pearl Jam + Alice in Chains Members, Frances Bean Cobain Take Part in Women’s March Against Trump
The Women’s March is said to be the largest protest in US history, with some outlets estimating 2.9 million people demonstrating across the United States. Members of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains showed their support by taking part, as did Frances Bean Cobain.
Donald Trump was inaugurated as 45th President of the United States on Jan. 20. Though hundreds of thousands gathered in Washington D.C. to experience the event, even more people took to the streets in our nation’s capital the next day to voice their disapproval.
Pearl Jam have been vehemently anti-Trump for a long time, and guitarist Mike McCready took part in last weekend’s Women’s March:
Alice in Chains shared a photo of drummer Sean Kinney marching in Seattle:
Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was also photographed marching with friends. Lyn-Z Way, wife of My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way and Mindless Self Indulgence bassist, posted the photo.
