‘Preacher’ Season 2 Teases Its Gorier Side in New Featurette
We've only one more week before Preacher hits the road to search for God, but there's plenty of time to look ahead. Get your best look yet at Season 2 with an in-depth featurette highlighting some of the grosser aspects, along with a tone closer to the comics.
In addition to showcasing the road trip from prior sneak peeks, the latest look at Preacher Season 2 highlights some of the more visceral carnage from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's direction. You'll also get a good look at Graham McTavish's Saint of Killers, as cast and crew tease the new season better approximating the comic tone.
Set for a Sunday, June 25 premiere, so reads the Preacher Season 2 synopsis:
The expanded second season, consisting of 13 episodes, is a genre-bending thrill ride that follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God and are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
Joining the cast of Preacher Season 2 are Game of Thrones alum Noah Taylor, Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Pip Torrens (Herr Starr!) and Fargo alum Julie Ann Emery as series regulars. Recurring roles will include Timeless star Malcolm Barrett, Homeland alum Ronald Guttman, and Justin Prentice.
