Rapper Mystikal Arrested in Shreveport for Rape
Louisiana rapper Mystikal aka Michael Tyler is facing some serious charges in Shreveport. Tyler has been charged with first degree rape. The warrant was issued following an investigation into an incident that allegedly happened at a downtown casino in 2016.
According to Shreveport Police, physical evidence from the investigation linked Tyler and another man to the alleged assault.
Bail for Tyler and his alleged accomplice Averweone Holman was set a 2 Million Dollars. Both men are being held at the Caddo Correctional Center.
Investigators have also issued a warrant for Tenichia Wafford, who is accused of trying to convince the victim to drop the charges. Walfford is still on the run from police.
This isn't Mystikal's first run in with the law. Tyler was released from a Louisiana prison in 2010 after serving six years for sexual battery and extortion.
