I used to swear that going anywhere on opening night isn't a good idea, but after this past weekend, I think differently. I never considered Red River Revel as the perfect spot to get some Christmas shopping done. There I was going from tent to tent going "Oh my this is the perfect gift for them!" It was awesome finding the perfect gift for that person who's hard to shop for. Talk about taking the stress out of shopping come December! The food was second to none, but what had me going back for seconds were those delicious beignets from First Baptist. It's the best bang for your buck. One ticket apiece, and you'll want at least 2! You'll wear your food home but it was worth it.

The art is plentiful, the crafts that your kids can partake in are unreal, the beer is cold, and where else can you see some awesome entertainment for $5? Michael Ray took the stage at &:30 p.m. on Saturday night and the crowd was clearly ready to give him an Ark-La-Tex welcome. From the food to the entertainment I enjoyed Red River REvel for the second time ever and it was the best it's ever been. If you're looking to break up the monotony come lunch time, visit the Red River Revel!
