Report: Aerosmith Guitarist Joe Perry Rushed to Hospital After Collapse [Update]
UPDATE: Perry's press representatives have released an official statement addressing his condition.
ORIGINAL STORY: TMZ is reporting that Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was rushed to a hospital following his guest appearance at Billy Joel's Madison Square Garden concert last night (Nov. 10).
Their report alleges that Perry performed "Walk This Way" and collapsed upon returning to his dressing room. Paramedics arrived and allegedly worked on the legendary musician for 40 minutes, intubating his trachea. He was eventually wheeled out of the venue on a stretcher and transported to a nearby hospital. His current condition remains unknown.
In 2016, Perry collapsed onstage during a Hollywood Vampires show. Although it was initially reported that he suffered cardiac arrest, it was later revealed that a combination of "dehydration and exhaustion" that lead to his unstable condition.
Perry is 68 years old. He has performed on every Aerosmith album with the exception of Rock in a Hard Place. He is regarded as one of the most important guitar players of all time. Stay tuned to Loudwire for updates on this developing story.
