Resourceful Dog Becomes Epitome Of Texas Resiliency During Harvey (PHOTOS)
A dog in Sinton, Texas has become an unlikely sign of Texas' resiliency in the midst of historic flooding.
Otis, a German shepherd mix, was in the care of the dog owner's grandfather, Salvador Segovia, when on Friday night, the spooked pup broke out of a screen porch.
"Where did Otis go?," you ask?
He walked over to a local lumber store, where Segovia said Otis knew dog food was sold. The persistent pooch somehow gained entry to the store, grabbed a big bag of Ol' Roy dog food and started home.
Segovia told media outlets Otis placed the pilfered pet food at the back door and laid down in the porch he had recently escaped.
The dog is apparently well-known in the town of 5,000 near Corpus Christi, but now, Otis is a viral internet sensation that has become a sign that Texans will rebound following Harvey's wrath.
