New Orleans Saints cornerback P.J. Williams has been suspended for two weeks without pay for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Williams will miss the Black & Gold's next two games against the Chicago Bears on the road and versus the Arizona Cardinals at home.

The Saints then have a bye week, which puts him on track to return for Week 10.

This suspension stems from his DWI arrest earlier this year. Williams was arrested and booked for driving under the influence of alcohol earlier this year.

He reportedly pled guilty to a lessened charge of recklessly operation of a motor vehicle and paid a $340 fine back in August. However, the NFL still pursued the incident in line with league policy.

On the field this season, Williams has been solid as the team's nickel back. He's started five of six games in 2019 and has racked up 18 tackles, two passes defended and one sack.
