Sci-Port Is Open and Hosting Summer Camps

Sci-Port Discovery Center is back open to the public. They are taking several special precautions to make sure everything is safe and clean. The local hands-on interactive facility provides a fun, educational environment for people of all ages to explore and actively engage in the world of mathematics, science and technology.

After being closed for several months, the complex is now back open with special programs and prices. The goal is to make it more affordable for all folks in our community.

Director Dianne Clark tells us hos Sci-Port can spark curiosity about the world around us and encourage a passion for life-long learning.

• Admission $10 per session for visitors 12 months of age and older. Includes a 2 hour session to the PoP Children’s Museum, the Sawyer Space Dome Planetarium, and the Upper and Lower Levels of the Center.  All visitors are welcome to attend and participate in the daily public programs throughout the center, including the planetarium programs.

• 1 free adventure included with general admissions.
• $5 per person above the age of one year for each additional adventure.

Here are the hours of operation:

Wednesday – Saturday: 

Session 1: 

9 AM – 11 AM: Two-hour exploration of all areas of the Center (including PoP!!) 11 AM – Noon: Choice of IMAX movie or one-hour of outside activity (while staff provides a one-hour deep cleaning of the Center.

Session 2:  

Noon – 2 PM: Two-hour exploration of all areas of the Center (including PoP!!)

2 PM – 3 PM: Choice of IMAX movie or one-hour of outside activity (while staff provides a one-hour deep cleaning of the Center)

Session 3: 

3 PM – 5 PM: Two-hour exploration of all areas of the Center (including PoP!!)

4 PM: IMAX movie
