Stonewall, Louisiana's Shayliff will rock DemonFest 2014 in Natchitoches this month. But for twin brothers and band mates Grayson and Shay Bailiff, half the fun of performing comes from a little sibling rivalry -- something they aren't shy about displaying on stage.

“We yell at each other on stage," said Shay. "It’s our dynamic; us trying to hash out ideas and make it work."

Shay got a big break in his music career when an indie label from Korea signed him after he published a cover for a song in Korean. After receiving some training in the recording industry, Bailiff came back home and formed the band, bringing inspiration from bands including Muse, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.

Starting off as high school friends in Shreveport, the band’s goal is to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start writing kick-ass music.

“Living life and going through experiences has influenced our music,” said Shay. “Some of the songs have religious influences from the way we were brought up. We’re just four Christian guys in a rock and roll band.”

Shayliff will perform at DemonFest 2014 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Saturday, March 22.
