Shreveport Man Arrested for Summer Box-Cutter Robbery
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit made an arrest on a summer robbery thanks to patrol officers who recognized the suspect from a Crime Stoppers post on an unrelated crime.
On July 18, 2022, Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to 1125 Shreveport Barksdale in reference to a theft. Arriving officers contacted store personnel who advised he observed a male shoplifting and when he approached the suspect, the man pulled a box cutter on the clerk and threatened to harm him.
On December 27, 2022, investigators conducted interviews with the suspect, Michael J. Jacobs (05/23/1964). He was housed at the Caddo Correctional Center charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting an Officer, Obstruction of Justice, and Simple Robbery. Following interviews, he was charged with another count of Simple Robbery.
