Shreveport Attorney Facing Felony ID Theft Charges

A Shreveport attorney faces serious charges today.

36-year-old Christopher Sices has been for identify theft, forgery and two counts of theft. The arrest happened following an investigation by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office. The financial crimes task force has been working on this case for several months.

Here is information from the Sheriff's Office:

The investigation which began in February determined that Sices forged another attorney’s signature on settlement checks and used her federal tax ID number instead of his own. In those same cases, he is accused of keeping money for himself that should have been used to pay clients’ medical bills.

Sices is also accused of keeping money that was paid to a client by an insurance company and forging that client’s signature on two checks.

Sices is accused of stealing more than $11,000 in cash in these cases.
